Make more mistakes
We all make mistakes. As improvisers it's even something we're expected to do. The goal is to find that inner freedom to let ourselves do mistakes and instead of punishing ourselves for that, starting to embrace them. The objective of the workshop is to worship the mess we've created and make us feel good about it!

Just like in the movies
Movies and TV shows always fit into a category – a style or genre. Be it horror, western, romcom or many others. What are the things we need to look for in different genres? What are short-cuts for when we want to set up a genre in a short space of time? What are the atmospheres and character types we want if we're doing that genre for a longer time? This workshop not only explores the genres that you find difficult but also shows that genres are not something to be scared of, but to be embraced as a method of creating scenes and stories that are in a world that is instantly recognisable to the audience.

Take care
The main rule in improv is taking good care of your partner. But what does that exactly mean? Is agreeing the offers of your partner all there is to it? My viewpoint is that maybe taking care of your partner first and foremost means taking good care of yourself. Because this is actually all that you have to bring on the stage.
The workshop mixes ideas and exercises from both classical theatre and improv.

What is the Scene About?
The basis of all good improvisation is in a good scene that is about something, with personal relationships and real change in energy and emotions. How do we get there? Most improvisors learn how to start a scene, but how to make the scene important, how to keep it going, and best, how to make it fun are often more difficult skills to acquire. This workshop examines the begin of a scene and how to carry it through to a satisfying ending.

Pure improv!
Are you afraid of the void, the slow, the silent and the unexpected?
We're going to explore global listening and learn how to reveal the magic scenes hidden inside you.
We´ll learn to trust silence, our bodies, the environment and our partners to build our own truthful stories And share them to the world.
Let's wait and not run, let's read the scenes rather than try to write them. Don´t give the audience what your fear thinks they want, give them what you are. Your pure honest self in the moment.

Introduction to masks
A workshop which is easier to live than to explain: to surprise oneself again, to have fun, to work on the look, to work on anchoring, to discover masks, to play honestly, here and now, to work on one or several masked characters.
I have built this workshop after my Trance Mask experiences with Steve Jarand (Calgary, CA) and Balinese masks with Derezo Theater Company (Brest, FR). In my childhood memories, masks frightened me. Then they seduced me, shook me because of the strength they give and also because of what they reveal about us.
Things we sometimes hide.

Love
Returning to one of the life's most important things – love. Just as in life, also on stage each story goes through different stages of development, emotions and intensity. In this workshop we will look at the different stages of a story and explore the variety of emotional intensity and how to vary it.

Lets get physical
Build an entire character by making a simple physical choice at the beginning of a scene. Build a long form set from that character. Create something out of nothing, get out of your head and into your body!
Expect a workshop focussed on starting scenes without prethinking an idea. We will do lots of two person scenes, and a long form set at the end. No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is for anyone that wants to explore spontaneous organic discovery in the context of an improv scene.
